Zoë brings over 20 years of social & development impact work experience in the education and charitable sectors, with a deep-rooted passion for sustainable social development and empowerment.

As a qualified Social Worker, she has demonstrated her ability to thrive in challenging situations, offering proactive and solution-oriented approaches. Zoë’s skills in programme management, leadership, fundraising, and strategy planning have been instrumental in her career.

Her professional journey includes significant roles such as an Independent Social Work Consultant building community capacity.

As the Director of The Abbeyfield Society of South Africa, she managed independent living accommodations for vulnerable elderly people, playing a pivotal role in advocacy, fundraising, and organisational management. Her key contributions included being a member of the Sector Task Team for Older Persons and representing South Africa on the Abbeyfield International Committee.

Zoë’s international experience is equally impressive, with projects in Kenya, Malawi, India, and Sri Lanka. Her work ranged from leading community savings programmes, coordinating housing relocations projects, to providing relief aid post-tsunami. Each role showcased her ability to manage complex projects, engage with diverse communities, and drive meaningful social change.

In her role, Zoë combines her extensive experience in social work, community engagement, and development programme management to create and lead sustainable initiatives that have a lasting positive impact on societies.
